Three major urban electricity network development contracts had been signed by DABS CEO, Mr. Qudratullah Delawari with Indian Companies “Jaguar” and “Angelic” along with the presence of his Excellency President Ashraf Ghani, Minister of Water and Power, other government delegation, and Parliament and Provincial Representatives.
The mentioned projects with total of 55.8 million US dollars will be funded originally by Asian Development Bank to Ministry of Finance, government of Afghanistan then will be signed in another separate contract between MoF and DABS.
After completion, 13000 customers in Pul-e-Alam Center, Logar Province, 18500 customers in Gardiz and Wa’ze Zadran District, Paktia Province, and 13000 customers in Khost Province will be distributed electricity.
According to the time schedule, mentioned companies will complete the projects by the end of 2018 which coincides with the completion of 500KV line from Turkmenistan.
To achieve DABS goal of distribution of electricity to distant locations of Afghanistan, it is neither the first project, nor the last.
