Reducing of Kabul’s load shedding as dramatically

High-level government board has been opened a diesel power plant with the capacity of 86 megawatts in 105-megawatt thermal device Tarakhil_Kabul.

We are committed to provide reliable and durable electricity to the noble people, industrial parks and manufacturing factories,” Eng. Amanullah Ghalib, CEO of DABS, said”.

Mr. Ghalib added, "We were able to reduce the load shedding of Kabul’s power from 12 hours to 6 and from 6 to 3 hours, and we are trying to fix the problems of the load shedding.

The machine was already generating 50 megawatts of diesel power for 5 hours, which fortunately the capacity of the mentioned machine increased to 86 megawatts of electricity, which will light up for 10 hours and will generate electricity for the next 12 months.

This action can dramatically reduce the load shedding of Kabul's power and will remove the problems of Kabul’s people.

The cost of generating of this thermal power plant is $ 30 million, which has been incorporated by the Ministry of Finance under the decree of the President of Islamic republic of Afghanistan in the budget of 1397 as subsidy.

It should be noted that (USAID) has been constructed the thermal Power Plant for power generation in the event of a shortage of imported electric energy or technical incidents and equipment and can be supplied by two types of fuel (diesel and crude oil) to produce electricity.
