DABS has developed a plan for the use of solar power in governmental agencies and presented the plan to the Council of Ministers dated 12 Hamal 1398, and approved by them.
In order to implement the mandate, DABS held a meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Water, National Environmental Protection Agency and Afghan National Standards Authority (ANSA).
During the meeting, Eng. Amanullah Ghalib, Chief Executive Officer of DABS, explained solar power plan for central government agencies and on receiving the funds and finalizing short-term and medium-term plans, he said: " DABS, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy and Water, National Environmental Protection Agency and Afghan National Standards Authority (ANSA), are plans to initially connect 15 government agencies with solar power. “
Representatives of the meeting also shared their opinion on the plan and suggested alternative ways to receive fund for the execution of the plan and it was decided that final decisions will be taken at a separate meeting.
