The electricity project in four districts (Karokh, Obai, Pashtoon Zarghoon and Chesht-e-Sharif) of Herat province started on 25th of December 2017. With the completion of this project approximately 123000 residents in the four respective districts of Herat will benefit from electricity.
This project is one of the key electrical energy projects of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) and currently 51% of the project works are completed.
The first lot of this project includes the design, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of four substations of 110/20kv in Herat. This project will cost around 8 million USD which is funded by the World Bank. The project will be completed on 25 of June 2019. DABS is committed in providing better facilities to Afghans through electrical energy projects.
