In order to prosecute the individuals/people who illegally using electricity, DABS signed a memorandum of understanding with the Attorney General's Office of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
This Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Deputy Attorney General Saranpoh Noor Habib Jalal and Eng. Amanullah Ghalib, Chief Executive Officer of DABS.
Based on this MoU, the Joint Committee of the Attorney General's Office and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat will be created to prosecute the electricity robbers and DABS is going to give the list of all the people who use electricity illegally or those who doesn’t pay the electricity bill or damage the Breshna facilities to the Attorney General's Office.
The Attorney General's Office will seriously investigate the cases then the result would be shared with DABS and people.
This Memorandum of Understanding is based on articles 14, 701, 710 of the criminal code and arranged in accordance with article (10) of the constitution.
DABS is committed to collect the revenues in order to develop the electricity grid in accordance with the balanced development plan and in this regard steps are being taken more firmly than before.
