Eng. Amanullah Ghalib, Chief Executive Officer of DABS, met with Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan and Deputy Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan on the third day of his official visit to capital of Turkmenistan (Ashgabat) to discuss the electricity networks of the countries concerned.
All three countries agreed on technical issues and an agreement will be reached on September 20 between the ministers of all three countries on the sidelines of “CAREC Ministers' Conference” (Central Asian Economic Cooperation).
By signing an agreement and implementing this program, Afghanistan will save over $ 600 million annually and it makes enable the private sector to sell and transmit electricity, which is an important step in providing benefits to the private sector and investors.
