A high-level delegation from the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan has arrived in Kabul to discuss the legal and technical issues of the TAP Project (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan), Noor-ul-Jahad Substation, and other energy projects.
Today a 3-day of the joint meeting between DABS Leadership and Turkmenistan Delegation has been started at the DABS headquarters in Kabul.
At the beginning of this meeting, Hafiz Mohammad Amin, Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, said
“Turkmenistan is a good partner to DABS in energy projects and we hope to accelerate the work of electricity projects, in particular, the Noor-ul-Jahad Substation and TAP project by creating a joint roadmap.
Myrat Artykov, Director of the TAP project, said that the main goal of this visit is to strengthen the bilateral relations between DABS and the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and stressed that in coordination and tight cooperation with DABS, we will implement Noor-ul-Jahad Substation, TAP, and Karki-Andkhoy-Kabul projects.
DABS team and Turkmen delegation will discuss the technical and legal issues of energy projects in today’s and upcoming days meeting and both sides will sign a protocol at the end of the meeting.
Khawja Ewazov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan also attended this meeting.
It’s worth mentioning that in today’s meeting, the Turkmen delegation thanked DABS Management for the electricity payment that was paid in advance by DABS.
