
As a result of four-day negotiations between the delegations of DABS, Turkmenistan, and Çalik Holdings a Trilateral Energy Sector Development Protocol among Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Çalik Holdings have signed by Hafiz Mohammad Amin, CEO of DABS in the presence of Abdullatif Mansur, Acting Minister of Energy and Water of IEA.
Hafiz Mohammad Amin, CEO of DABS signed a contract for the expansion of Noor-ul-Jahad Substation from 110 kV to 220 kV with “Turkmen Energo”.
Hafiz Mohammad Amin thanked the delegations of Turkmenistan and Çalik Holdings for their visit and discussed various energy projects.
Abdullatif Mansur, Acting Minister of Energy and Water thanked the delegations of Turkmenistan and the Çalik Holdings and said “Turkmenistan always has good intentions and good policy towards Afghanistan”. He hoped for continued cooperation between the two countries in the future and called on Turkmenistan to invest and implement more economic projects in Afghanistan.
Myrat Artykov, Director of the TAP project said “we had very productive conversations in the last days” and thanked DABS for the hospitality.
During the 4 days of trilateral meetings with Turkmen and Çalik delegations, the DABS team held comprehensive discussions on the TAP project and transmission of Sheberghan-Dasht-e-Alvan 500 kV lines.
DABS management emphasized accelerating the 500 kV project which enables DABS to bring Turkmenistan’s electricity to Kabul and other provinces.
